What is Sex and Love Addiction?
Because of her expertise and years of experience with general addiction issues
and couples therapy, sex and love addiction is a natural specialty for Linda.
Sex and love addiction affects the type of people we choose to get to know and
date, the way we date, the quality of our relationships and marriages, our
ability to be good parents, and how we function in every other part of life as
well.
Sex and love addiction is a disease of extremes - too much or too little. There
are sex addicts and sexual anorexics (or avoiders).
Some people are romance addicts and the anorexics avoid romance and love
totally. Others are addicted to relationships and their opposites abstain from

Linda provides individual, group, and couple counseling for sex and love addicts
and their partners. She has worked with this population for over 20 years and
has trained with Patrick Carnes, Ph. D. and is a Certified Sex Addiction
Therapist as well as an authorized IITAP supervisor for new CSATs. She helps
addicts and their families decide what level of treatment
is indicated and supports their involvement in 12 Step Programs such as SA, SLAA,
SCA,
etc.
